Login Options
You can log in to CEUniverse in several ways. Use whichever is most convenient for you. You can switch between them at any time and all options lead to the same account, modules, and records. For extra protection, you can also add an authenticator app as a second step after you log in.

The authenticator app doesn't replace your login. It's an extra step that follows it.
Why we offer these options
Passwords are the most common way accounts get compromised, and AI is making that risk bigger. Scammers can now create highly convincing phishing emails and fake login pages at scale, and automated tools can try stolen passwords across many sites very quickly. Passkeys and magic links reduce that risk because there's no reusable password for an attacker to guess, steal, or trick out of you. Offering several options lets you choose the one that's most convenient and secure for you.
Email and password
Enter the email address on your account and your password. If you've forgotten your password, use our password reset form and we'll email you instructions to set a new one.
Use a password that's long, unique to our site, and not used anywhere else. A password manager (such as Bitwarden) can create and remember it for you.
Passkey
A passkey replaces your password with the same thing you use to unlock your phone or computer: your fingerprint, your face, or your device's screen-lock PIN. Passkeys can't be guessed, reused, or stolen in a data breach, and they can't be tricked out of you by fake look-alike websites. Your fingerprint or face never leaves your device.
You'll be offered the chance to set one up when you log in. Passkeys are best on devices you own.
Magic link
Select Login Via Magic URL on the login page, enter your email address, and we'll email you a one-time link. Click it to log in, with no password required. Each link works only once and expires after 10 minutes. If the email doesn't arrive, check your spam or junk folder, then request a new link.
Login with Google
If you have a Google account, you can use it to log in with one click. You don't need to remember a separate password for our site. If you ever want to stop using this option, you can disconnect it from your Google Account at any time.
Authenticator app (two-step verification)
An authenticator app adds a second step to your login. After you log in, you'll enter a 6-digit code from an app on your phone. The code changes every 30 seconds, so even if someone learns your password, they can't get into your account without your phone.
Any standard authenticator app works, including Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, and Bitwarden.
Setting it up
- After you log in, you'll be offered the chance to set up a passkey or use an authenticator app instead. Choose the authenticator app.
- Scan the QR code on the screen with your authenticator app.
- Enter the 6-digit code the app shows to confirm it's working.
- Save your recovery codes (see below).
You can also select Not now and set it up later.
Recovery codes
When you set up an authenticator app, you'll be given ten single-use recovery codes. Save them somewhere safe, such as a password manager. If you lose your phone, you can use a recovery code in place of the 6-digit code to get into your account.

Which option should I use?
Any of them. For the best mix of speed and security, we recommend a passkey. If you're on a shared or public computer, a magic link is a good choice because nothing is saved on the device.
What's the difference between a passkey and an authenticator app?
A passkey uses your fingerprint, face, or device PIN. An authenticator app gives you a 6-digit code to type in. Both add strong protection to your account. A passkey is generally quicker, but the authenticator app works on any device, including a shared computer where you can't use a passkey.
What if I lose my phone or can't get the code from my authenticator app?
Use one of your saved recovery codes in place of the 6-digit code. If you don't have them, contact us at [email protected] and we'll help you get back in.
Can I use more than one option?
Yes. Your options are tied to the same account, so you can, for example, use a passkey on your phone and a magic link on a computer at work.
Do all options use the same email address?
Magic links are sent to the email address on your account, and Google login uses the email address on your Google account. To keep everything connected to one account, use the same email address for each.
Are these options secure?
Yes. We've added these options and additional login protections to help keep your account and records safe, including against increasingly convincing AI-assisted phishing scams. Passkeys offer the strongest protection because they only work on our real website. Whichever option you use, the most important thing you can do is protect your email account and your devices, since they're what unlock your sign-in. You can add even more protection by turning on an authenticator app, which requires a code from your phone after you log in.
